This is where I write about why I have a blog, and what I'm interested in...to give you a basic undertstanding of me, a framework upon which you can build this anonymous rapport with me while I spill my guts out about shit that goes on in my life.
It probably won't work like that.
I've had several 'home pages' in my time. Websites, if you will. I always had some grand plan to elaborate on my sense of purpose, wrapped in HTML tags. But these plans always ended up in ruin. Neglected, the websites existed only as a shell. A metaphor?
No. Nice try.
StewartFip.com has been several things. A mule for web projects, music and videos. A place to learn stored procedures last-minute before the interviewer asked about them the next day. A to-be website hit counter service, back when hit counters sufficed to give people enough validation that their website was worth something in cyberspace. A front end for a freelance web development business. Pictures of my dogs.
Never really a 'website' though.
And now people don't have 'websites'. They have blogs. Since I still have this desire to say something in this medium, and since I'm a web developer by trade, I'm not satisfied with using something easy like blogger.com. What does a web developer without any blogging experience do? Use open-source blog software.
So here I go. My first post. And as you can see, I ramble. Come back often. I'll probably give up after this.
