A shared-use kitchen is a facility which allows individuals and entrepreneuers to prepare food products in a sanitary, licensed environment according to local health codes. Shared-use kitchens make commercial food preperation equipment available to those who would not be willing or able to maintain such a facility on their own either in their homes or at a dedicated location.
Interested individuals may include:
- Personal chefs
- Caterers
- Bakers and Cake Decorators
- Canned or Packaged retail food processors
- Educators or demonstrators
If you feel you might benefit from a shared-use kitchen and wish to provide details about your current or proposed needs, this information could be used as part of a business plan to make a shared-use kitchen available in your area.
